I have probably started and restarted a blog at least 6 times in the past 4 years. I love writing and I’ve always known that I needed to write a blog and share my story with people. I never really found myself very interesting, and it was hard to keep the momentum going.

In college, I learned one thing about myself: I wanted to live my life helping others. That’s why my nice little tagline up there says “Live selflessly; make change”. Serving. Volunteering. Helping. Those are all things that I want to spend the rest of my life doing. I just love helping people. So I thought it was fitting to try working in the nonprofit sector.

2016 was a real turning point for me, and I learned a lot about myself. The biggest thing was who I put my identity in. And let me tell you, putting your identity in a boy was the wrong idea, and it took me 3 years and 1 severely broken heart to learn that. But after the shit hit the fan, I thought, maybe I should clean it up a bit, and I turned my sights toward God.

And, now, I know what I want to write about: me and my story about living for God and serving his people.
